Welcome to Weirbach Racing located in Ottumwa, Iowa. We race flat track in the Midwest, plus the AMA Hot Shoe series, the AMA Singles Grand National Pro series, and many local events in Iowa, Illinois & Kansas.

Weirbach Racing announces the sponsorship support of two young gun racers, 16 year old Tony Davila from Pleasanton, Ca. who won the mile at the AMA Black Cat Grand Championships and finished 7th at the AMA $10,000 magic mile in DuQuoin, IL. this past summer, and 17 year old Western New York James ‘’the Rocket’’ Rispoli. Rispoli, who ran a limited flattrack program in 2008 finished 6th overall in the AMA GNC basic expert class with a highlight of a second place finish on the Indy Mile in front of 17,000 screaming international fans. In 2009, Rispoli & Davila will challenge the new GNC 450 Pro class riding for Dick Weirbach, a 35 year veteran of the flattrack racing scene.
‘’I am very excited to have an opportunity to work with Tony & ‘’the Rocket’’ this season. They are both great kids and I have watched them go fast for the last several years on a number of different tracks and conditions. I think the new rules package and the race format will be ideal for our team. We will be able to challenge for podiums and have a great time too.’’ stated Weirbach. Weirbach Racing will supply a stable of stock framed Honda CRF450 motorcycles for the teams use.
‘’I can‚t say enough about the opportunity with Dick and the team,’’ explained Rispoli. ‘’Dick understands my situation to run a full time AMA road racing program in 2009, yet is still excited to work with me. He has put together a great program and I can‚t wait to get going to Daytona in March.’’
Davila says, " Working with Dick at the Du Quoin Magic Mile Shoot Out was a great experience. The dedication he has to our sport, his equipment, and especially to his riders really impressed me. I'm proud to be part the 2009 Weirbach Racing Team, and I'm ready to go racing!’’
The team is preparing motorcycles and spares kits for the season over the winter months aimed at a successful 2009 season. We have 3 Honda CRF 450s plus a spare motor that I build (with the help of Jerry Wilhelmy of General Engineering) and maintain my self.
About Weirbach Racing
Weirbach Racing is run and owned by Dick Weirbach, a veteran of the flattrack scene for better than 35 years. Dick himself ran as a novice in the late 60‚s and even owned a Bultaco motorcycle shop for eight years. He is currently retired and started sponsoring riders under his own program in 2000. The names of riders that have had the pleasure to work with Dick are notables such as Henry Wiles, Robbie Pearson, Sammy Halbert, Aaron King, Jessie Janisch, Davey Durelle, Johnny Murphree and more.
